A new official website, “Stand With Sri Lanka” (https://donate.gov.lk/), has been launched to facilitate financial assistance for relief efforts for those affected by Cyclone Ditwah.
The national website enables the global community, Sri Lankans living abroad, and citizens worldwide to provide emergency financial support directly to the bank accounts announced by the Ministry of Finance, Planning, and Economic Development.
Cyclone Ditwah has caused widespread devastation across Sri Lanka, displacing thousands of families, destroying homes, and disrupting access to essential services such as food, clean water, and medical care. The website provides a secure and transparent method for financial contributions to support the rebuilding of affected communities.
All donations will be directed entirely to coordinated government emergency relief operations, including the provision of essential food items for displaced families, clean water and sanitation to prevent disease, emergency medical care for the injured and vulnerable, and temporary shelters and relief kits for those who have lost everything.
The official website also allows donors to view account details, ensuring accurate and transparent information about all financial contributions.
