The U.S. Embassy in Colombo has introduced anew requirement for visa applicants starting 5th of May 2025.
All applicants must ensure that the barcode number on their DS-160 form (beginning with “AA”) exactly matches the one used to schedule their visa interview.
If the barcode numbers do not match, applicants will not be allowed to attend their interview and will need to book a new appointment using the correct DS-160 form.
