A fascinating festival, the Monkey Buffet Festival, is being held in the city of Lopburi this year to attract Thai tourists.
The festival not only aims to draw visitors but also symbolizes the coexistence between the people of Lopburi and the monkeys.
During the event, fruits, vegetables, and cooked foods are arranged on tables in ancient ruins and temples to be offered to the monkeys.
The Monkey Buffet Festival has its roots in Thailand since the 1980s.
Supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the festival is believed to bring good luck to the local residents.
This year, the festival is scheduled to take place from May 2nd to 4th in Lopburi.
