New hotline launched for public to report essential service disruptions

The Office of the Commissioner General of Essential Services (CGES) has launched a dedicated Speed Dial Number, 1904, for the public to quickly report complaints and difficulties related to accessing essential services across the country.

Members of the public can use the 1904 hotline to report issues concerning electricity supply, fuel distribution, hospital and emergency medical services, public transport and logistics, water and sanitation services, food and essential commodities, telecommunications and ICT services, as well as irrigation and other essential services declared under Gazette Extraordinary No. 2464/29.

This initiative aims to ensure faster response times, improved coordination, and efficient resolution of complaints during emergencies or service disruptions.

All calls made to 1904 will be directed to the CGES Operations Centre, where each complaint will be verified, prioritized, and forwarded to the relevant sectoral teams for immediate action.

The CGES has urged the public to use the hotline responsibly and provide accurate details to help authorities respond swiftly and effectively.
