Netflix has increased the prices of all its subscription plans in Australia, just over a year after its last price hike.
The standard plan with ads has risen from $7.99 to $9.99 per month, adding $24 annually. The standard ad-free plan has increased by $2, from $18.99 to $20.99 per month. The premium plan has seen the largest jump, up by $3 from $25.99 to $28.99 per month.
The cost of adding an extra member has also gone up. For the standard plan with ads, it has risen from $5.99 to $6.99 per month, while for the standard ad-free plan, it has increased from $7.99 to $8.99.
Taken together with the May 2024 price changes, the cheapest Netflix plan has become nearly 43% more expensive in just over 12 months, while the ad-free standard plan has gone up by 25% in the same period.
Earlier, in February 2025, Netflix discontinued its $12.99 basic ad-free plan, leaving customers with fewer low-cost options for streaming without ads.
