Construction of the long-delayed Nawla–Angampitiya Bridge, which was halted midway due to the economic crisis and other challenges, has now resumed under the State Development & Construction Corporation (SD&CC) and is nearing completion.

The project is expected to be finished and opened to the public by the end of this year.

Deputy Minister of Transport and Highways Prasanna Gunasena recently inspected the bridge, accompanied by the SD&CC Chairman and other officials.
