The Sri Lanka Navy has begun construction of a new Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Hambantota District General Hospital.
The project was officially launched on 15th of January with the Navy providing technical expertise and financial support contributed by a philanthropic Sri Lankan couple based in the United States.
Senior officials from the Sri Lanka Navy and the health sector, including Commodore Aruna Weerasinghe and Dr. Asela Gunawardena, attended the inauguration, highlighting the Navy’s ongoing commitment to community-focused healthcare initiatives.
