A resident of an affluent Melbourne suburb could become $20 million richer as officials try to locate the mysterious winner of last night’s $80 million Powerball draw. Four division one prizes of $20 million each were won across Victoria, Queensland, and Western Australia, but one winner remains unaware of their fortune.

The unregistered winning ticket was purchased at the East Brighton Newsagent in Brighton, Melbourne, leaving officials without any clues to the winner’s identity, The Lott’s Matt Hart said. The shop owner, Sajjad Sadeghi Goorbandi, believes the winner may be one of his regular customers.

Brighton residents expressed excitement that the winning ticket came from their neighbourhood. “I would love to have $20 million,” one said. “You just wouldn’t know what to do with yourself, would you?” another added.

Anyone who bought a ticket at the East Brighton Newsagent for last night’s draw is urged to check their numbers. The lucky winner can contact The Lott to start the prize claim process. The other three division one winning tickets were held by a young woman from Woolloongabba, Queensland, a woman from Mooroopna, Victoria, and a winner from Western Australia.
