Sri Lanka is set to welcome more international airlines during the upcoming winter season, strengthening global air connections.

Tourism Deputy Minister Prof. Ruwan Ranasinghe said several foreign carriers are planning to begin flights to Sri Lanka.
Vietnam Airlines, VietJet, Jetstar, British Airways, French Bee, S7 Airlines, and Supernova Airlines are among the airlines showing interest.
Meanwhile, major carriers including Turkish Airlines, Emirates, and Qatar Airways have increased their flight frequencies.
The government is also in discussions with Bangla Airlines and Centrum Air to expand future operations.
Officials believe these new services will increase passenger capacity, improve connectivity, and support Sri Lanka’s tourism growth.
