Modi to review India-SL ties, explore new opportunities

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that Sri Lanka and India will review their multifaceted friendship and explore new avenues of cooperation during his visit to Sri Lanka.

In a statement, Modi expressed confidence that the visit would build on past foundations and further strengthen bilateral ties for the benefit of both nations and the broader region.

“I will pay a two-day visit to Sri Lanka from April 4 to 6. This follows the highly successful visit of President Dissanayake to India last December. We will have the opportunity to review progress on our joint vision of ‘Fostering Partnerships for a Shared Future’ and provide further guidance to achieve our common goals,” he said.

He added that such visits would continue to enhance the strong relationship between the two countries, benefiting their people and the wider region.
