Ministry advises against online classes for young children

The Ministry of Women and Child Affairs has advised parents not to enroll children aged between three and five years in online classes.

In a statement, the Ministry said that teaching children of this age through online platforms contradicts the principles of educational psychology and early childhood development.

The Ministry noted that excessive exposure to technology could negatively affect the mental and physical well-being of young children. According to educational psychology, learning at this stage should primarily take place through activity-based methods and social interaction.

It warned that failing to provide such an environment could lead to several developmental issues, including impaired social skills, reduced attention span and limited creative thinking.

Therefore, the Ministry urged parents to avoid sending young children to online classes that could hinder their natural growth and development.
