Minister of Foreign Affairs Vijitha Herath held a series of bilateral meetings with his counterparts from several countries on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.
He met Maldivian Foreign Minister Abdulla Khaleel, where both sides reviewed ongoing cooperation and explored avenues to further strengthen bilateral ties.
The Foreign Minister also held talks with Finland’s Foreign Minister Elina Valtonen, focusing on enhancing cooperation between Sri Lanka and Finland.
In a separate meeting with Serap Güler, Minister of State at the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, discussions centred on advancing bilateral cooperation and exchanging views on key global issues.
All meetings took place on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly.
