Millions of eligible Western Australian driver’s licence holders are now able to claim a one-off $100 Fuel Support Payment, with authorities urging motorists to apply early through the ServiceWA app.

The initiative is designed to ease the pressure of rising fuel prices and broader cost-of-living challenges.

The payment is available to around 2.3 million valid WA licence holders, including learner, provisional and extraordinary licence holders.

Those who do not wish to use the app can also submit claims through online forms or paper applications, although these may take longer to process.

The WA Government says the fuel payment is part of a broader package of more than $1 billion in cost-of-living support announced in the 2026–27 State Budget.

Officials say the payment can be used for any personal expense, giving recipients the flexibility to spend it where they need it most.

Authorities have encouraged drivers to set up the ServiceWA app in advance to ensure a smooth application process, while also offering recipients the option of donating their payment to registered charities supporting vulnerable Western Australians.
