Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tea Board, Raj Obeyesekere said initial auction prices dipped but have now stabilized, with the average price reaching Rs. 1,153 per kilogram.
Exports to countries like Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, and Iran faced disruptions due to tensions around the Strait of Hormuz, but alternative routes have enabled continued exports to markets such as Turkey and Iraq.
