Meta has launched its AI app

Meta has launched the first version of its standalone Meta AI app, built on the Llama 4 model, designed to offer a more personalized and conversational AI experience.

The app includes a “Discover” feed, allowing users to explore and share how others are using AI.

Meta AI remembers user preferences and context, providing tailored answers across Meta platforms like Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger.

The app now serves as the companion for Ray-Ban Meta smart glasses and syncs activity across web and mobile.

Voice interactions have been enhanced with full-duplex technology for more natural conversations.

Meta AI can generate images, edit content, and understand user data to offer personalized assistance.

The app is initially available in the U.S., Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, with more features rolling out gradually.

On the web, Meta AI now supports document editing, image generation presets, and voice interactions.

Users remain in control of what data is shared, with customizable privacy settings and account integration.

Meta envisions this AI as a companion that helps solve problems, assist with daily tasks, and connect users to the world in more meaningful ways.
