Melbourne has been recognized as one of the world’s most digital cities, ranking 12th in the latest ZeroBounce survey.
The ranking considers factors such as digital healthcare, transport systems, and overall infrastructure.
The assessment spans nine categories, including internet speed, public Wi-Fi availability, online maintenance reporting, CCTV coverage, smart parking solutions, and pollution monitoring infrastructure.
Melbourne received its highest score for online healthcare and also performed well in digitalized transport and CCTV coverage.
However, despite Australia ranking 44th globally for internet speed, Melbourne scored lower for parking enforcement.
Dubai leads the list, boasting extensive CCTV coverage and the second-fastest internet speed.
Other highly digitalized cities include New York, San Francisco, Mumbai, London, Berlin, Manchester, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.
