A Melbourne primary school principal has been arrested on child abuse charges. Authorities reported that he was found in possession of numerous child sexual abuse videos on his phone at the time of the arrest.
The principal, who serves at Langwarrin Park Primary School, was detained at Melbourne Airport upon returning from a trip to the United States.
Police have launched a thorough investigation, suspecting the presence of additional electronic devices in his luggage. Reports confirm that several child abuse videos were discovered on these devices.
Investigators have stated that the videos do not involve any students from the suspect’s school. Nevertheless, the Department of Education has informed parents about the incident in a formal letter.
Melbourne Police are continuing their investigation into the matter.
