A large crowd is currently gathering for Melbourne Surya Udana 2025, which is being held in a grand and festive manner.
The event features a series of colorful performances, giving prominence to traditional Sinhala and Tamil New Year rituals.
According to the organizing committee, several folk games have already begun, adding to the excitement.
The Street Food Carnival, organized by the Northern Victorian Sri Lankan Welfare and Cultural Association of Australia, is being held for the 11th consecutive year in conjunction with the Surya Udana New Year Festival.
This grand celebration, considered the largest New Year festival and Street Food Carnival in Melbourne, is taking place at ANZAC Park in Craigieburn and will continue until tonight.
