Australians traveling during the Australia Day long weekend have been warned to expect delays at Sydney, Brisbane, and Melbourne airports.
The delays are caused by a trade union action initiated by airport ground workers over pay and working conditions.
The strike, involving employees of airline services company Dnata, includes a four-hour walkout at the three major airports today.
Despite the disruption, Qantas domestic services are reported to remain unaffected.
Transport Workers Union National Secretary Michael Kane stated that the strike will impact many airport operations and cause flight delays.
