

A man has died after being bitten by a shark off the coast of Albany in southern Western Australia.

Police said the 35-year-old was spearfishing with family members near Michaelmas Island when he was attacked shortly before 11:20 a.m. local time yesterday.
He was brought back to shore by boat and treated by St John Ambulance WA paramedics upon arrival.
Despite efforts to save him, he could not be revived.
Police have confirmed that a report will be prepared for the coroner to investigate the incident.
