Major beer recall after fears that cans could “burst” and cause injury

A popular Australian beer, Little Creatures Little Hazy Lager, has been recalled due to fears that the cans could burst and cause injury.

The recall affects 375ml cans produced by Lion – Beer, Spirits & Wine Pty Ltd, sold at Dan Murphy’s and BWS in NSW, Queensland, Victoria, and Western Australia, as well as IGA stores in NSW. Coles has also sold the product in Western Australia.

The NSW Food Authority warned that cans with a best-before date of 10/11/2025 may contain excess alcohol and carbonation, which can cause over-pressurisation and potentially result in the can bursting.

Consumers are advised not to open the affected cans and to dispose of them safely. Refunds can be obtained by contacting the company directly.
