Mahinda secures supreme court approval

The Supreme Court has scheduled the Fundamental Rights Petition filed by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa for consideration on 19th March.

The petition challenges the government’s decision to reduce his security contingent to 60 officers.

The case was taken up today (06th) before a three-judge bench comprising Justices Preethi Padman Surasena, Janak de Silva, and Sampath Abeykoon.
