
Former Mahinda Rajapaksa today called for an immediate end to the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, urging powerful nations to play a role in resolving the crisis.
He made the remarks after attending the “Saddharma Varsha” religious sermon at the historic Imbulakanda Sri Sambuddhi Viharaya in Homagama, responding to questions from journalists.
Rajapaksa emphasized that the war should be concluded as soon as possible and expressed confidence that the involvement of influential countries could help achieve a resolution.
