The National Enterprise Development Authority (NEDA), under the Ministry of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development, will host the annual ‘Made in Sri Lanka’ trade fair at Arugam Bay in the Ampara District from 29th of August to 31st of August , open daily from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
The fair, organized annually across the island, aims to promote local micro, small, and medium-scale enterprises (MSMEs) by providing access to both local and international markets.
This year’s event will feature 60 stalls showcasing a wide range of standardized, high-quality Sri Lankan products, including newly developed items, offering entrepreneurs opportunities to connect with foreign buyers.
In addition to trade activities, the fair will include sports events, cultural performances reflecting lowland traditions, DJ and calypso music, and a grand musical concert on the final day. Live food preparation stalls will be set up along the Arugam Bay beach, and courier services will be available to facilitate the delivery of purchases to foreign destinations.
The ‘Made in Sri Lanka’ trade fair is designed not only as a commercial platform but also as an entertainment festival, allowing rural entrepreneurs to showcase their innovations while attracting both local and international visitors.
