Popular singer Yohani de Silva, who attended a music concert in London, faced protests from a group of LTTE supporters living in the country.
Media reports indicate that the protests were due to her being the daughter of former Army Major General Prasanna Silva.
Protesters shouted that Prasanna de Silva is a criminal, as they voiced their opposition to her.
The LTTE, which has been banned in the UK as a terrorist organization, has long been opposed to individuals associated with the Sri Lankan military.
A petition filed by LTTE supporters to lift the ban on the organization was recently rejected by the UK’s Terrorist Organizations Appeal Court.
