
The Labour Department has announced a temporary suspension of several key services for three days, starting ttoday (21st of May), due to essential maintenance work on its computer network.
According to the Department’s Commissioner General, the suspension will last until Friday, May 23, and is necessary to upgrade and maintain the department’s digital infrastructure.
The services affected during this period include:
- Payment of full Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) benefits (K application)
- Payment of benefits to deceased members’ families (L application)
- Payment of 30 percent EPF benefits
- Registration of Authorized Representatives (AHs)
- Registration of new institutions
- Processing of B cards
The Commissioner General also stated that individuals who had pre-booked appointments via phone for these services will be given priority once operations resume. He apologized for the inconvenience caused and thanked the public for their understanding.
