Kuwait Airways has announced that it will resume commercial flights to Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka, starting October 26. The airline will operate four flights per week on Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
In its statement, the national carrier noted that Colombo continues to be an important tourist destination and said the relaunch reflects its commitment to meeting customer demand and expanding global travel options.
Kuwait Airways emphasized its focus on expanding its network to serve the diverse needs of travelers by offering more destinations, greater choice, and improved connectivity.
Founded in 1953 as Kuwait National Airways Limited, the company began operations in March 1954. The Kuwaiti government took full ownership in 1962, establishing it as the country’s official national carrier.
