Sri Lankan cricket legend Kumar Sangakkara has warned the public about a scam involving the unauthorized use of his image and voice through artificial intelligence.
In a social media post, Sangakkara revealed that scammers are creating fake advertisements and videos using AI to impersonate him without his consent.
He clarified that he has no association with the products being promoted in these fraudulent ads.
“Don’t be fooled. Don’t share. Report them,” Sangakkara urged, appealing to the public to stay alert and report any suspicious content.
The former national captain also cautioned his followers against trusting or circulating these AI-generated clips.
