King Charles, speaking at the state banquet during President Trump’s visit, praised Trump’s personal commitment to seeking solutions for some of the world’s most challenging conflicts, while also urging stronger US support for Ukraine in its fight against “tyranny.”
In his reply, President Trump highlighted the strength of the UK–US alliance, remarking that the word “special” alone does not capture the depth of the relationship.
The banquet, hosted at Windsor Castle with 160 distinguished guests, underscored the historic and enduring ties between the two nations.
King Charles further reminded those present of the shared sacrifices made by both countries, saying, “Our people have fought and died together for the values we hold dear.”
