Justice Minister Harshana Nanayakara today called for the suspension of the Parliament website until errors regarding MP data are corrected.
He informed Parliament that not only his name, but also the details of many other MPs, had been wrongly uploaded on the website.
The Minister emphasized that the information on the website could be used for the next ten years, making it crucial to maintain accurate records to avoid embarrassing MPs.
“I request the office of the Secretary General to suspend the Parliament website, correct the errors, and reopen it only after ensuring it is 100 percent accurate,” he stated.
