June sees over 138,000 tourist arrivals in Sri Lanka

A total of 138,241 tourists visited Sri Lanka in June 2025, reflecting a 21.8% increase compared to June 2024, according to data from the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority (SLTDA).

India remained the top source market, contributing 37,934 visitors or 27.4% of the monthly total. The United Kingdom followed with 11,628 arrivals, while China, Australia, and Pakistan recorded 8,804, 7,299, and 6,833 visitors respectively.

Cumulative tourist arrivals for the first half of 2025 have reached 1,168,044. Of this, 241,994 were from India, 112,312 from Russia, and 107,902 from the United Kingdom, the SLTDA reported.
