The joint opposition parties, during a meeting held at the Opposition Leader’s office, decided to appoint a legal team to address issues of political victimisation, the Opposition Leader’s office announced.
Former MP Chandima Weerakkody was appointed to head the coordination of this committee.
Meanwhile, former MPs Lasantha Alagiyawanna and Saman Ratnapriya were tasked with coordinating a collective body comprising all political parties to collectively confront such political victimisations.
