The administrators of Jeanswest have announced the closure of 90 fashion stores across the country.
This decision follows a management shake-up by its parent company, Harbour Guidance, based in Melbourne.
As a result, more than 600 employees will lose their jobs.
The administrators cite increasingly difficult trading conditions as the primary reason for the closures.
Jeanswest, a well-known fashion brand, has been operating in Australia for 50 years.
