International Cricket Council (ICC) Chairman Jay Shah has expressed his commitment to supporting the future development of Sri Lanka cricket after meeting President Anura Kumara Dissanayake.

Shah described the discussion on the current state of Sri Lanka cricket as a privilege and shared a special message following the meeting.

The talks focused on creating more opportunities for emerging players, strengthening grassroots cricket, and supporting development programmes aimed at young talent.

The ICC chief also highlighted Sri Lanka’s ability to host major international tournaments and its important contribution to global cricket.

Shah said Sri Lanka holds a special place in cricket history and pledged to work closely with local stakeholders to build new opportunities for future generations.

He also thanked President Dissanayake for his continued support and commitment towards the growth and progress of cricket in Sri Lanka.
