Japan offers job opportunities in healthcare sector

The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has announced job opportunities for Sri Lankans in Japan’s nursing care sector under the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) program.

According to the SLBFE, eligible candidates who meet the required qualifications can apply. These positions, offered in collaboration with IM Japan, are free of charge for Sri Lankan youth aged 18 to 35.

The jobs come with a five-year employment period and a minimum monthly salary exceeding LKR 400,000. Workers will also receive the same benefits as Japanese nationals in the sector.

Applicants must be proficient in Japanese, having passed either the JFT or JLPT N4 language proficiency tests, along with the required skill assessments. Both men and women are eligible.

Additionally, candidates must have taken the G.C.E. Advanced Level examination and should not have tattoos.
