The Jaffna International Airport (JIA) reached a historic milestone yesterday by welcoming its first international charter flight from Chennai, India.
According to Airport and Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited (AASL), this achievement strengthens regional air connectivity and opens new opportunities for international travel to northern Sri Lanka.
With this successful arrival, JIA is now officially open to international charter flights, paving the way for economic growth and increased regional tourism.
