The Ministry of Education has suspended the distribution of a newly printed Grade 6 English language module with immediate effect after confirming that it contained a reference to an inappropriate website.
According to the Ministry, an investigation was launched following a complaint that a reference identifying an unsuitable website had been included in the module. The material was prepared by the National Institute of Education and has already been printed.
The Ministry of Education also stated that it expects to file a complaint with the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) tomorrow in connection with the incident.
