An IndiGo flight (6E 813) from Goa with 140 passengers on board made an emergency landing at Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Airport in Indore on Monday evening due to a technical alert.
The emergency landing was prompted by an undercarriage warning indicating a potential issue with the aircraft’s landing gear, officials confirmed.
As a precaution, the aircraft remained airborne for about 25 minutes before landing safely at 5:15 p.m., slightly later than its scheduled arrival time of 4:50 p.m.
All passengers and crew members are safe, according to airport authorities and Indian media reports.
A full emergency was declared at the airport, and fire and medical teams were deployed in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedure.
Airport director Vipinkant Seth confirmed the emergency landing, stating the crew acted promptly following the warning, ensuring passenger safety.
An IndiGo spokesperson said the aircraft reported a technical snag just before landing and that it would undergo mandatory checks before resuming operations.
IndiGo also expressed regret for any inconvenience caused and reiterated its commitment to maintaining the highest level of safety for its customers and crew.
