
Smriti Mandhana led India to a commanding 97-run victory over Sri Lanka with a brilliant 11th ODI century, sealing the Women’s Tri-Nation ODI Series title on Sunday.
Mandhana scored a superb 116 off 101 balls, including 15 boundaries and two sixes, anchoring India’s total of 342 for 7 in 50 overs.
Key contributions from Harleen Deol (47), Harmanpreet Kaur (41), and Jemimah Rodrigues (44) further strengthened India’s innings.
Sri Lanka, chasing a daunting target, were bowled out for 245 in 48.2 overs.
Amanjot Kaur picked up 3 wickets for 54 runs, while Sneh Rana was the standout with 4 for 38.
For Sri Lanka, captain Chamari Athapaththu (51) and Nilakshika Silva (48) put up some resistance but were both dismissed by Rana, halting the team’s momentum.
India’s comprehensive win secured their dominance in the Tri-Nation ODI Series.
