Leader of the Opposition Sajith Premadasa emphasized today that India and China should work together to amplify the voice of the voiceless in the Global South.
“It is inspiring to witness the progress and advancements of the Global South. We firmly believe that cooperation and strong relations between China and India, two of the world’s most populous nations, will further strengthen the voice of those who are often unheard in the Global South,” Premadasa stated during the launch of China’s 15th New Blueprint New Horizon in Colombo today.
He added, “It is crucial to reform and transform the international political order to ensure that the Global South has a meaningful and positive role in shaping the global political agenda.”
