A delegation from the International Monetary Fund (IMF) is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka later this month.
Dr. Anil Jayantha Fernando said the visit will include review discussions ahead of the release of the sixth tranche under the IMF’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme for the country.
He noted that the IMF has already disbursed five tranches of financial assistance to Sri Lanka under the programme.
During the visit, the delegation is expected to conduct a comprehensive review of the measures implemented by the government in line with IMF conditions aimed at improving the country’s economic performance.
Dr. Fernando added that the necessary agreements regarding the release of the sixth tranche will be finalised following the review discussions.
