IMF fact-finding mission to visit Sri Lanka from 22nd–28th of January

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) will dispatch a fact-finding mission to Sri Lanka from 22nd of January to 28th of January to assess the impact of the recent Cyclone Ditwah.

IMF Communications Director Julie Kozack said the visiting team will also hold discussions on policy implications linked to Sri Lanka’s Extended Fund Facility (EFF) programme.

She emphasized that the visit is purely a fact-finding exercise, intended to help the IMF gain a clearer and more comprehensive understanding of the situation on the ground.
