Bollywood superstar Hrithik Roshan will visit Sri Lanka on 2nd of August 2025, as the special guest for the grand opening of City of Dreams Sri Lanka, South Asia’s first luxury integrated resort.
Roshan’s appearance comes after Shah Rukh Khan’s withdrawal from the event, with organizers citing “unforeseen and unavoidable personal reasons” for the change.
The exclusive, invite-only launch event will now feature Hrithik Roshan, one of India’s most acclaimed actors and performers, as the headline guest.
The grand unveiling of City of Dreams Sri Lanka marks a major milestone, with the mega project jointly developed by John Keells Holdings and Melco Resorts & Entertainment.
Roshan is expected to walk the red carpet and participate in the celebrations, adding star power to what is being hailed as a landmark occasion for Sri Lanka’s tourism and entertainment sectors.
