Holiday opening hours announced for supermarkets

With Christmas just three days away, supermarkets, malls, and retailers have shared their updated holiday opening hours.

Customers are reminded to check for changes in store hours on Christmas Day, Boxing Day, and New Year’s Day.
All Coles stores will remain closed on Christmas Day but will reopen on Boxing Day, except for those in South Australia.

On New Year’s Day (1st of January), all Coles stores will be open across most states and territories, except in South Australia.

Woolworths stores will be closed on Christmas Day, but all locations will be open on Christmas Eve.
Most Woolworths stores are expected to remain open on Boxing Day and continue through to 2nd of January.

On Christmas Day (25th of December), all Woolworths stores across all states and territories will remain closed, but they will reopen on Boxing Day (26th of December) in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, WA, NT, ACT, and Tasmania.

All Woolworths stores in NSW, Victoria, Queensland, NT, ACT, and Tasmania are expected to be open on New Year’s Day (1st of January), with the exception of the Northam store in WA, which will remain closed.

Many supermarkets are set to close on Christmas Day, despite being open the day before Christmas, as reported in several states.
