Holiday drivers will enjoy lower fuel prices in Sydney, while Melbourne and Brisbane are experiencing peak fuel costs.
The NRMA has analyzed the latest data to track trends in petrol prices across the country.
“It’s good to see fuel prices dropping in Sydney, but the slow pace of just two-thirds of a cent per day is frustrating—oil companies need to address this immediately,” said spokesperson Peter Khoury.
“Meanwhile, families in Brisbane and Melbourne face rising fuel costs, with prices spiking right as they prepare for holiday travel,” he added.
“Families already struggling with the cost of living are in dire need of relief, but sadly, their location will heavily influence fuel prices this Christmas.”
