The Hill Country Tourism Bureau has assured travellers that major attractions in Bandarawela, Ella, and Haputale remain safe and fully accessible despite the recent adverse weather conditions.
In a social media update, the bureau noted that although some international reports highlighted “cyclone chaos,” the situation on the ground is stable and far less dramatic. Officials confirmed that roads near the Dowa Rock Temple are clear, the views from Porawagala are unobstructed, and Ravana Falls is welcoming visitors as usual, complete with its popular street-side food stalls.
The bureau added that the storm has now passed, the weather has stabilised, and all tourism activities in the region have returned to normal.
