A high-level delegation from the International Cricket Council, including a senior official from the Board of Control for Cricket in India, is expected to visit Sri Lanka following the government’s decision to appoint an interim body to manage cricket administration in the country, according to reports.

The delegation is expected to include ICC Deputy Chairman Imran Khwaja, who is scheduled to arrive in Sri Lanka on Friday night, with another senior ICC official also expected to visit shortly afterward.

Sports Minister Sunil Kumara Gamage has also confirmed during a television interview that ICC officials will be arriving in the near future for discussions related to cricket governance and reforms.

The visit follows the Sri Lankan government’s appointment of a nine-member interim committee to oversee the administration of Sri Lanka Cricket after the resignation of its president and executive committee.

The interim panel, appointed on April 29, has been tasked with managing day-to-day operations, implementing reforms, and ensuring stability in cricket administration until new elections are conducted.
