
Minister of Health and Mass Media, Dr. Nalinda Jayatissa, left for Switzerland this morning to attend the 78th World Health Assembly (WHA78) of the World Health Organization.
The assembly will take place in Geneva from May 19 to 27, under the theme “One World for Health.”
Health Ministers from all WHO member states, along with over 5,000 government health officials, are expected to participate.
The event will feature a range of discussions, including the presentation of proposals, expert opinions, and global research data.
Decisions made at the assembly are expected to influence international health strategies and policies for the year ahead.
