The duo put on a crucial 128-run partnership for the fourth wicket, stabilizing the innings after an earlier 70-run stand between Hasini Perera and Vishmi Gunaratne for the second wicket.
Chasing a target of 236, Sri Lanka reached the score in the 47th over.
South Africa, who batted first after winning the toss, posted 235 for nine, with Annerie Dercksen remaining unbeaten on 61.
Sri Lanka will face India in their next match on 4th of May with India currently unbeaten in the tournament with two victories.
