Good life music festival canceled over rising costs

Good Life Festival, a popular Australian music event for teenagers aged 13 to 17, will not take place in 2025 due to “rising operational and talent costs.

” Organizers cited these financial challenges as making it unfeasible to provide the world-class lineup and experience that Australian teens have come to expect.

Since its inception in 2010, Good Life has been more than just a music festival—it’s been a rite of passage for Australian teens, offering a drug- and alcohol-free environment for live music and entertainment. The event has hosted various renowned local and international acts, including Macklemore, A$AP Rocky, Avicii, The Kid Laroi, and DJ Havana Brown.

Despite the cancellation, organizers assured fans that the festival will return in 2026, stating, “This isn’t goodbye. We look forward to returning stronger in 2026.”

Good Life’s cancellation adds to a series of recent live event setbacks in Australia, with other major festivals like Groovin the Moo, Splendour in the Grass, Spilt Milk, Return to Rio, and Souled Out also being canceled in the past year. Additionally, the iconic Bluesfest announced that this year’s event, scheduled for April, will be its last.
